2026-10-14Give your favorite video moments a place in Photos. ReelStill turns a video into a Live Photo with a cover you choose and the original sound.
• Import a video from Photos or Files.
• Keep the full video or trim a selected segment.
• Choose the cover using a timeline and fine adjustments.
• Preview the result, then save it to Photos. Press and hold to play.
Your media is processed on your device. No account, ads, analytics or developer uploads. Permission to add photos is requested when saving; full photo library access is not required. System services may download media you select from iCloud.
Requires iOS 18 or later. HDR video and videos with multiple video or audio tracks are not supported. Playback behavior may vary by system version. Compatibility with live wallpapers or third-party apps is not guaranteed.
The full video and original audio are kept by default. To trim, drag the timeline handles or use the start and end buttons to fine-tune. The cover stays within the selected clip.
After saving, check the LIVE badge in Photos and press and hold to check video and sound. HDR is not supported yet. Compatibility with other apps and wallpapers requires separate verification.
